About Kara
I started my teaching career when I lived in China from 2008 through 2011. Then, after moving back to the US, I began online teaching through VIPKID for years. However, when changes happened in China causing a closure of online teaching, I began teaching for BookNook in 2020. I love teaching my students and engaging them in the lessons and listening to how their days are going, and playing learning games. I lived in China for almost 5 yrs, then moved to PA and got married to the man I dated in China, who is from Cameroon. We have 2 kids. I teach my own children. I love animals and reading.

I like to have fun while teaching; meaning all my lessons keep the students engaged and interested. We play learning games and read interactive stories.
