About Fatimah
My name is Fatimah and I am a 20-year-old medical student. For my A-levels, I studied: English Literature, Biology and Chemistry, however, outside of academics I am a thoroughly creative individual, who enjoys Art, embroidery and reading and this creativity is something which I hope to inspire through my teaching methods. I am someone who is keen to learn and therefore has a wide expanse of knowledge in a variety of fields, allowing tutoring sessions to be more well-informed and educational. I have had numerous previous experiences in tutoring as I tutor the first years at university- and so I am well aware of different teaching techniques- enabling me to tailor the teaching methods to the student. I personally believe that learning should be an inspiring and fun experience, and this is something I am striving to achieve with my tutoring sessions.

My lessons are 1 & 1/2 hours long.
I teach using screen share, analysing texts together with thorough discussion, and making lessons as interactive and informative as possible. My lessons are targeted towards students between the ages of 13 to 18. I am currently a second-year university student and studied English Literature for both GCSEs and A-levels, which means I have a greater understanding of the school curriculum. I think it is important to mention that initially, I was getting grade 6's and 5's in English but, managed to work my way up to a grade 9. My first lesson usually consists of getting to know the student's strengths and weaknesses, we will discuss what you find difficult, and overview some previously marked work by teachers. This then provides the basis for future tuition sessions.
