Hi! I'm Zara and I'll be helping you achieve your best possible grades in English, whilst teaching you to fall in love with it too. I've been tutoring English for five years now, and managed to improve my GCSE students to grade 9s from grade 5s. I specialise in AQA GCSE, and boosting confidence in KS3 pupils in preparation for their class tests. My lessons last an hour, which all include an in-depth post-lesson review sheet. The structure includes a warm-up task, teaching section, exercises, a feedback session, and a plenary.

I've known Zara for many years - she is an excellent teacher; she has been teaching my daughter since Year 9 and has thoroughly helped her understand content in such creative and encouraging manner. My daughter suffers from learning difficulties yet Zara is so incredibly patient with her. She helps my daughter navigate her difficulties and assures me how she plans the lessons to best suit my daughter's needs and I cannot recommend her enough!
Zara has been tutoring my son since he started secondary school (he is currently Year 10). He is dyslexic and struggles with spellings and time management. Thanks to Zara’s patience and motivational approach, he has improved significantly his creative writing and analysis. Zara is a very positive and inspiring person; her lessons are tailored according to his weaknesses. She always gives me clear explanations about how the lessons are structured and fair feedback.
