About Charles
My name is Charles Bennett, I am a BA English graduate from University of Birmingham, and I love to read. I want to make the subject of English Literature as fun as possible. Having grown up with my mum being a librarian, I have always been surrounded by books, I love storytelling and the study of the history of the English language.
In my lessons I wish to awaken the same enthusiasm and encouragement for the study of English that I was given in my teenage years. English Literature promotes imagination, as well as so many integral life skills, such as communication and debating. I want people to feel they have something to learn whenever they open a new book, and be inspired to dream big and create.

I will cater my lessons to suit your needs, I understand the importance of education fitting the learning style of each individual. I will provide a week by week framework, where you can approach me with the texts you wish to cover, and any specific questions you may have about them, and I will generate the study time accordingly.
Sessions will typically last 45 minutes depending on the text, allowing time to read, discuss, and present any queries you may have. There will also be time to reflect ahead of the next lesson, to see what else you would like to be covering, and to fully ensure the teaching style is catered to your needs.
I teach both GCSE and A-Level, having gained top marks in both. I understand the stresses of English exams, and want to make the subject as anxiety-free and fun as possible!
