About Audrey
English has always been my favourite subject. As someone who has consistently achieved the highest grades in English at every stage of education--including full marks in English Literature at A-Level--I know exactly what teachers/examiners are looking for in exams and essays, as well as how to build a great, solid foundation in reading and writing that can be applied to any other subject at any other level, all the way from primary school to university.
I'm empathetic to the feeling of being "stuck" on something, wether that be basic spelling or advanced writing techniques. It can be tricky to overcome, but luckily I've developed and learnt many valuable lessons and techniques from my own time at school as well as from excellent teachers that I am passionate about sharing.

I offer English lessons on all areas including writing, literature, reading comprehension, SPAG, and exam/coursework prep (11+, GCSE, A Level, and uni entrance exams). I also provide editing and proofreading services for any academic or creative pieces of writing.
Above all else, I seek to foster a love for the subject by making the lessons simultaneously productive and enjoyable; the best improvement is made when the student takes even the smallest amount of pleasure from their work. I believe that a balance of talking through questions/texts as well as written practice is the best way to develop your skills, close gaps in knowledge and achieve top marks. However, every student has their own needs, so each lesson will be spefically tailored to you to make the most out of each session. Together, we can figure out what structure and methods do and don't work for you.
I have experience as a voluntary teaching assistant at primary school level, as well as GCSE.
