I have been an elementary school teacher for the past seven years, teaching second through fourth grade in that time. Before teaching I worked as an environmental educator, camp counselor and director, and a substitute teacher for grades K-12. Building strong rapport with my students is my first priority. Once that connection has been fostered, there is space for the vulnerability it takes to learn a challenging subject or concept.
