Hi, I'm Laurence. I produce and DJ under the alias, 'Lokane'. I have been producing for 10 years and actively releasing music for the passed 5, having toured the UK, Europe and USA.
I graduated with a 2:1 Honors degree back in 2014 in Music Production at London Metropolitan University.
My production style is electronic based using Ableton Live

I offer a fun and practical approach to music production, tailoring each lessons to your own skill level and personal goals. Whether you are just beginning or have some previous experience, we will work together on building your technical knowledge and self confidence as music producer.
I will guide you through each step, from starting your song to drum programming, arrangement, synthesis and mixing techniques. Creativity and artistry is personal to ourselves, therefore I help and encourage my students to explore and develop their own creative ideas.

Laurence is a great tutor. Really thorough and patient, and has a great understanding of production and programming. Highly recommend!
Ive been producing for some years now but really wanted to improve on mixing and he helped and showed me alot of new techniques. Will definitely be seeing him again.
Laurence was an excellent teacher and he had a lot of patience.
I have very limited experience in music production and he managed to teach me the basics extremely quickly- all within one session. He also taught basic music theory and gave me pointers to improve my knowledge further in this area.
We covered a lot of topics including EQing, different plug ins/VSTs and sampling.
Towards the end of the session, it was a more open ended focus where I could ask for specific production techniques and advice on how to make certain styles of music.
Overall, Laurence was a great teacher and I highly recommend him!I've only just started to produce and o have already learnt so much in the few lessons I've had with Laurence. It felt a bit alien at first, but he explained step by step how to get started in Ableton, which made it easier for me to understand. I am looking forward to doing more lessons with him!
