About James
I am an experienced tutor, with proven success in providing individual tuition at A level, GCSE and Key Stage 3. Whatever the level, I improve learners' confidence, achievement and enjoyment of Maths. I tailor my approach to suit the individual needs of individual learners, and bring a range of strategies and resources to help pupils achieve mastery of the subject. I have taught at leading independent and state schools, as well as having several years' experience of providing tuition to a range of pupils - helping pupils at all stages from getting that critical pass grade at GCSE up to successful MAT and STEP papers. I am a fully qualified teacher, having both a Mathematics degree from Durham University and a PGCE. I have known James for 10 years. As a colleague in a very academic department, he stood out not only as being an extremely capable practitioner in the classroom, but also as an exceptional mathematician, having an in-depth knowledge of the full spectrum from KS3 right up to A-Level Further Mathematics and also into some material of undergraduate degree standard.
