About Eloise
I'm a driven individual with a love of learning and creative pursuits. Education for all ages is very important to me because learning is not just about getting good grades, it also inspires, motivates and enriches our lives. For this reason I believe it is incredibly important to support learners who need it and to show them that learning can be really interesting! Essay planning and writing is something I have a lot of experience with as I have been developing my own skills for the past 10 years through my GCSEs, A-Levels, and undergraduate degree. The ability to write a high level, critical essay is a great skill to have. It helps you develop your analytical skills, communication and planning skills. Outside of education, I enjoy reading (my current book is 'Written in Bone: hidden messages in what we leave behind' by Sue Black), drawing, painting, and spending time with my family and pets. I aim to follow a career in educational institutions such as libraries and museums. I have an enhanced DBS check.

My sessions are student-centred and personalised to each individual. During my sessions I will work to inspire and motivate students to do the best they can, through allowing them choice over the direction of the session and linking topics to their personal lives (where possible). Sessions can be any duration up to 2 hours, however recommended length will change depending on the individual and their needs. These sessions are for students aged 14+ including university level. In terms of tutoring experience, I have previously carried out private 1:1 tutoring and homework help for GCSE students. Also my degree is in Education Studies, so I have thoroughly researched several different educational theories and methods. My own essays for university have regularly been graded to a high mark, and I have recently completed a 10,000 word dissertation so I have a lot of experience.
