About Brennen
I bring 40 years of playing experience and over a decade of teaching to every lesson. My background includes performing with Grammy-nominated blues musicians RL Boyce and Jimmy “Duck” Holmes and studying with jazz greats Steve Giordano, Robert Orr, Tim Lerch, Bruce Forman, and Pat Martino. My students benefit from both professional performance experience and deep musical study.

Unlock the art of jazz and blues guitar without memorizing endless scales and modes.
I teach intermediate and advanced players how to improvise with freedom, play dynamic chord melodies, and accompany with confidence—using a no-nonsense approach that builds on what you already know. With neuroscience-based practice techniques, you’ll learn faster, retain more, and turn theory into real music.

Brennan is fantastic. I started taking lessons from him about 4 months into my guitar journey, and his teaching style and expertise has helped me immensely in the last 6 months. I’ve progressed very quickly, and he understands how you learn best and will help you learn via music you like while also constantly challenging you with exercises and music and knowledge in and outside of your preferred genre. I’m already a much more well rounded player and feel far more fluent. Wouldn’t take lessons from anyone else!
Brennen builds trust with his patience and excellent communication. I’ve known Brennen a long time and my experience with him is he’s a fantastic teacher and person.
