About Flavia
A friendly and outgoing 24-year-old with a keen interest in humanities, art and languages, based in Brixton and able to travel safely in the surroundings by cycling and walking. Before studying media and film at University, I attended an international school with a focus on humanities and arts. Since my teenage years, I have been helping young kids with homework and as a babysitter. I tailor my teaching and tutoring to each student's age, level, capabilities and natural inclinations with a variety of methods and teaching techniques that suit the pupil's needs. I have experience tutoring primary school kids aged 6-12 individually and in groups. I have the patience and enthusiasm to cater to the needs of the youngest as well as the benefit of having the knowledge of present day technologies and popular culture to relate to 11-12 year olds. Flavia is a wonderful language teacher. She is multilingual and worked as a translator. I had a few lessons with her when I first started learning Italian. She provided detailed explanations of grammar and sentences examples in no time when I had questions for her. I felt at ease when I practiced conversation with her. I also teach languages myself, so I know with the way she teaches, many students will be very happy with that.
I have become personally close to Flavia, and can say she is a kind, patient and generous person. As a teacher myself, these are essential qualities for people looking to work with children, and teaching. She is very respectful towards the children's and parents' needs, and is quick to find a solution when presented with an obstacle. Her many interests and knowledge in different areas of arts make her incredibly creative, and I am sure she will find new and fun ways to tutor English.
