About Katy
From a young age, I have always loved drama and acting so began my career in Drama and Theatre Arts. I have a passion for all things theatre, acting and literature and quickly realised how much I love sharing this passion with other people.
When I first started in education, I worked with a young person who had been told that he would fail his exams due to him struggling with spelling. The impact this had on that young person’s self esteem was evident, and I decided I wanted to do anything I could to ensure this student believed in himself. Together, we tried all kinds of different strategies to help with spelling and one day, it clicked. The student went on to pass all his exams, but more importantly, he believed in himself again. Since then, I have worked with the ethos of ensuring above all, students learn to believe in themselves.
Besides learning, I am a huge book nerd and I love cats, running and musical theatre!
