I believe learning works best when it's built on curiosity rather than memorisation. I bring patience and openness to every lesson, taking the time to find the explanation that genuinely makes sense for each student, because no two people learn the same way, and I see that as part of the work, not an obstacle to it.
I take my role as a tutor seriously. I prepare carefully for every session, show up consistently, and stay invested in each student's progress rather than offering a one-size-fits-all approach. My approach is built around questioning and discussion rather than lecturing. Instead of giving students facts to memorise, I help them dig into the "why" behind psychological theories — asking questions, weighing evidence, and forming their own arguments. This is exactly the kind of thinking that earns top marks in essay-based exams, and it makes the subject genuinely stick rather than just being crammed and forgotten. I keep things creative too, using real-world examples and discussion to make abstract ideas easy to grasp.
Lessons usually run 60 minutes, though I'm flexible — sessions can run longer for essay practice or exam revision when needed.
I hold a double Master's in Clinical Psychology and Psychological Therapies, with seven years spent studying the field in depth.
I teach students from GCSE through A-level, IB, and undergraduate level — generally ages 14 and up — including those prepping for exams, working on essays or coursework, or just wanting a stronger grip on the subject. Based in London and available for online sessions, I'm well-versed in UK exam boards and curriculum.
