About Megan
Reading is my favorite thing to do. I want others to enjoy it too or at minimum not be so intimidated by it. Reading texts and books from classes can cause anxiety in students and therefore impact their grades. That's where I come in. Making those texts easier to understand and helping students pick out the important information.
I was the student that helped others understand why teachers or professors were looking for or understand what the reading actually said. My degree is in Criminal Justice and therefore there was a lot of material to read and understand. I graduated with a 4.0 GPA so helping your or your student understand selected texts and reading in front of others is my strong suit.

Everybody reads at a different level. My is to help others find joy in reading, comprehend what they are reading, and increase reading level. My methods vary by individual needs and skill level.
I'd like to start by seeing how well my students read and comprehend a text. This could included having my student read aloud to me and then answering question about the text whether that be verbally or written. Reading aloud lets me see where you're at with reading speed and any issues with specific words or pronunciations.
This can help anybody who is looking to get more into reading, overcome reading aloud in class, or just someone who is looking to increase their reading level. It can also help with notetaking for classes to better understand the material that they are studying.
I understand that reading isn't for everyone but everyone is capable of it. I'd like to help.
