About Macey
Hi! I’m a guitar tutor with a Bachelor of Music in World Music and 4 years of teaching experience. My studies focused on Guitar Traditions while my playing grew through metal, shred, and progressive rock. These styles require precision and creativity. I enjoy teaching both.
Lessons are designed to develop speed and technical accuracy. Technique is always the foundation. Students practice alternate picking, tapping, sweep picking, and fast scale patterns. Each skill is built step by step.
I welcome both younger students and adult learners. Everyone learns differently. Lessons adapt to each student’s pace and musical goals.
Some students want heavy rhythm playing. Others want fast and expressive solos. Music theory is always connected to practical playing. Understanding scales and phrasing strengthens technique. I support both directions while helping learners develop their unique voice. Technique, creativity, and listening are strengthened through structured exercises and real examples.
