About Kayla
I have 6 years of teaching experience and hold a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics Education. Throughout my teaching journey, I have supported students with different learning styles by creating encouraging, structured, and engaging lessons that help them develop lasting confidence in mathematics. I enjoy making complex algebra concepts accessible through practical examples and patient guidance.
One learner initially struggled with solving equations involving direct variation because identifying proportional relationships within applied problems often led to mistakes. Students are encouraged to explain mathematical reasoning, compare different approaches, and recognize patterns that improve analytical thinking and long-term retention.
Practical applications from software engineering, financial analysis, renewable energy, architecture, game development, manufacturing, and transportation planning demonstrate how algebra is applied beyond the classroom.
