Hi, I’m Ira, and my approach as an English tutor focuses on clarity, structure, and confidence. A typical lesson starts with a quick check-in to see what the student needs help with. We review one main skill, such as writing a strong thesis or improving sentence clarity. Then we practice using real assignments or short exercises. Each lesson ends with specific feedback and clear next steps.
What sets me apart is my strong background in writing and communication. As a competitive debater and experienced writer, I know how to build strong arguments and analyze texts clearly. I explain mistakes and show students how to fix them, so they can improve on their own over time.
My lessons are for middle school and high school students, including honors and advanced classes. I work with students who want help with essays, reading comprehension, grammar, or building confidence in English.
My goal is to make English feel less stressful and more manageable, so students leave each lesson feeling confident and supported.
