• Tell us more about your subject. How did you develop an interest in this field?

  My journey into the world of coding/software development started during my early school days when I was fascinated by the idea of creating something from nothing but code, I started with C++ got bored then, I began with HTML and CSS, which allowed me to see immediate results, sparking my curiosity further. As I delved deeper, made a lot of mistakes like trying to learn every other programming language’s syntax and not developing any application, I discovered the power of JavaScript and the MERN stack, which offered endless possibilities to create complex, interactive web applications. My interest in mobile development using React Native came naturally as I wanted to make my projects accessible on all platforms. Over time, with my software developer job, my passion for coding evolved into a desire to share my knowledge and help others discover the joy and power of programming.

• What or who is the motivation behind you choosing to teach & why?

  The primary motivation behind my decision to teach is the impact I can make by empowering others with the skills to build and create. Seeing my students progress from beginners to confident developers gives me immense satisfaction. I was also inspired by my own mentors and teachers who played a pivotal role in my learning journey. Their guidance and support helped me overcome challenges, and I aspire to do the same for my students. Teaching allows me to stay updated with the latest technologies and continuously improve my own skills while contributing to the community.

• How does your work help society?

  My work as a developer and teacher helps society by contributing to the growth of technology and innovation. By teaching programming, I equip individuals with valuable skills that can lead to career opportunities and economic growth. My students can develop applications that solve real-world problems, from improving business processes to creating solutions for social issues. Additionally, fostering a love for coding in young minds can lead to future innovations and advancements in technology, driving societal progress.

• If you had to think of a role model for your work, who do you think of & why?

  One of my role models is John Resig, the creator of the jQuery library. His contributions to simplifying JavaScript and making web development more accessible have had a significant impact on the industry. Resig's dedication to open-source development and education, exemplified through his work at Khan Academy, inspires me. He embodies the spirit of sharing knowledge and creating tools that empower developers worldwide. His work reminds me of the importance of community and collaboration in tech.

• Tell us about your hobbies outside teaching.

  Outside of teaching, I enjoy exploring new technologies and working on personal projects that challenge my skills. I'm an avid reader, often diving into books on technology, business, and personal development. Additionally, I love outdoor activities like basketball and trekking, which help me unwind and stay active. Music is another passion of mine; I go to gym and relax after a long day of coding and teaching.

• Do you have an anecdote to tell us about your student or professional life?

  One memorable anecdote from my teaching career involves a student who was initially struggling with understanding the basics of JavaScript. Despite the challenges, they were incredibly persistent and dedicated to learning. We worked together on several projects, and I tailored my teaching approach to match their learning style. After a few months, not only did they master JavaScript, but they also went on to build a full-fledged e-commerce application as their final project. Seeing their transformation and confidence grow was incredibly rewarding and reinforced my belief in the power of personalized teaching and perseverance.
