About Davina
My name is Davina, I am 20 years old. When I was at school I used to always question myself as to why I wasn't achieving high marks in my tests and exams even though I was revising and putting all of the work in. I would see all of my friends getting praised by my teachers due to their good grades and this would make me upset. I was also worried as my GCSES were just around the corner. I spoke to my parents and they enrolled me in for tuition for english, maths and science. I had the best time with my tutor, her teaching technique was amazing, she would make sure that I understood everything that was taught before I left. This knowledge reciprocated to my results and I achieved A*-B across all of my subjects. I have been working along side my ex tutor ensuing I have all of the skills to be tutor. I will ensure that all teaching and learning will reciprocate in the tests and exams that my students will be sitting.You will fee confident, knowledgeable, and ready to handle any question.

I will be teaching spelling, grammar, comprehension, creative writing, poetry, english language, english literature, essay prep, test questions, building confidence, managing time, and all other aspects to english. My method of teaching is very strategic and I cater to every child ensuring that they have a personalised approach. my aim is to make sure that my students have a full understanding of what they have learnt so that they can apply the knowledge to their work. my techniques will consist of crossover learning, collaborative learning, gamification, and traditional methods. A typical lesson will last for 2 hours. I offer tutoring to children aged 7-16, foundation/ higher and any exam board. I have achieved A*-B across all 9 GCSE subjects which i sat in 2018. I also achieved grade A in biology chemistry and physics for my a level, which i sat in 2020, i am currently studying forensic science at University aiming to achieve a 1st in 2023.
