Dereck is a calm and patient teacher when it comes to piano lessons. He takes his time explaining things thoroughly, and he will make sure you understand what he is explaining, especially when you don’t get it the first time. He’s a very kind and respectful individual. He has helped me learn many things thanks to his knowledge in techniques. He makes sure you are using the right form with your hands so you don’t develop bad habits. I know him thanks to a post on the Nextdoor app. I am very grateful I chose him to take beginner lessons with.
