About Amanda
I am a current Fresno State student in Child and Family Sciences, with two associate degrees; one being in Early Childhood Education and the other in Ultrasound. I was a previous preschool teacher, elementary school paraprofessional, and online tutoring teacher during COVID. -While a paraprofessional, I had daily lessons for grades Kinder-6th, raising their literacy through phonemic awareness, games, readings, and prizes. -While a Pre-k teacher, I planned weekly lessons based on our current themes, they all involved reading, art, sensory, dramatic play, science and math through fun activities. -While teaching online, I planned lessons based on their grade level and needs, while also accounting for their interests. We also had after school tutoring sessions, where we had online interactions. In addition, I was asked to share my success strategies with my cohorts with a presentation. -I also worked for Disney, if that gives you any impression of my personality! I love cats...animals in general, Disney, cooking and baking, making resin art, and playing all kinds of different games (board, puzzle, video, etc.)

Hey there! I try to incorporate fun in all my teachings, while combining scientifically proven methods to make learning an investment as opposed to a chore. I have taken everything I have learned from previous educational work, from lesson planning to socializing, and add them in my everyday life, not just what I teach. I also get to know your child and use their interests in their learning. I have found a lot of our interests align! I am excited to meet you and see if we are a good fit!
