About Eve
Having had my own experiences of tutoring throughout school, I am now eager to give back and offer support to any and all students looking for help. Having been a peer mentor to my younger peers from Year 10 onwards, later offering academic help to family and friends and neighbours, as well as volunteering at the local library and working as a reading assistant at the local primary school, I have a huge passion for all things knowledge-based and for helping people find their best way of learning. Now, having just graduated from Durham University with First Class Honours in History, and beginning my masters in American History at Cambridge, I want to share all the skills I have learnt over the years to offer help to all those who might require guidance with exams, coursework, dissertations, applications and homework in the humanities.

In lessons with younger pupils I aim to use a friendly and informal approach to learning to help student develop their understanding of the topic and begin helping with essay writing and understanding source material using interesting and multidimensional examples. For older students, I hope to offer a service which will concentrate on consolidating key evidence, creating arguments on specific themes and putting these together to offer help with concise and convincing essay-writing which will be effective for homework and exams alike. In studying and excelling in my GCSEs, A-Levels and in my Undergraduate degree, and now doing a masters, my knowledge of essay writing technique, historical topics, literary techniques, contextual themes as well as my grasp of source material is expansive and I hope to offer these skills to all my pupils. Most importantly, having just graduated still at the age of 20, I hope I can offer a young, highly informed perspective, but most importantly be a kind and encouraging presence with great sensitivity to all the stresses that applications and examinations conjure - having been through it myself not long ago!
