About Jenny
Hi, I'm Jenny, a graduate of the University of Melbourne, Bachelor of Music (Piano and Composition) and Masters of Primary Teaching (Arts Specialisation). I have over 10 years experience in music education, as well as 6 years experience as a classroom practitioner. I'm looking forward to meeting people who are looking to learn something new and challenging!

First and foremost, tutoring lessons are about finding out what you want to achieve. Do you want to pass that next theory exam? Do you want to hone a new skill? Do you just want some feedback on your creative process? I'm here for all those things. When you begin with me, the most important time we spend is discussing your aims and how I can help you to achieve them.
I teach both children and adults, with a particular passion for those just beginning their musical journey.
A typical lesson will consist of some kind of warm-up (dependant on musical subject). After that we will look at what work you have done so far, or begin to learn something new. I never want to leave anyone in the dark; if you don't understand something, we can always stop to clear it up. The end of the lesson should always leave you clear with what you are working on next, ready to start your fresh learning before we see each other again!
I'm currently offering remote lessons, from 30 minutes to an hour, in music theory and music composition, however am open to hearing about other musical subjects people would like to focus on.
