About Alexander
Chicago-born saxophonist Alexander is an experienced performer and teacher with nearly 12 years under his belt in the music industry. From humble beginnings playing in the Lighthouse Jazz Big Band, Alexander has made connections playing with Berklee and New School of Music musicians and has performed at renowned venues worldwide, including Ronnie Scott’s Jazz Club, 91 Living Room, Toulouse Lautrec Jazz Club, Oliver’s Jazz Bar, and Boogie Woogie Jazz Club (Seoul). Settled in London, he divides his time between education and performance as both a sideman with London’s leading musicians and musical director of his own ensemble MOOD. Alexander is passionate about delivering the very best music education available today. He does this by offering a highly tailored service to each and every one of his students “because no two students are the same and no two people want the same thing from music”. Through his lessons, he aspires to provide a supportive platform to uncover new talent and encourages artists to not only develop themselves, but to push musical boundaries and innovate, ultimately shaping the future of new music. “Whether you are a beginner looking to pick up an instrument for the first time or a student applying for music college, or a professional looking to hone your skills, I know I have the tools to help you.”

He is a great human being, talented, with an incredible method for playing and teaching the saxophone.
Alex is a highly experienced jazz and pop musician. He is cheerful, patient, he explains concepts clearly and easily.
If you ever meet him to play music or for any tuition you come back home with the right tools to learn saxophone securely, confidently and patiently.Alex and I play together in a professional standard Jazz band. Not only is he of course incredibly accomplished and dedicated to his art (I have seen him shred on Jam sessions all over London!), but also he is a great teacher. In a collaborative learning environment where we were practicing new tunes he combined kindness and knowledge to explain new ideas. He would make for a very caring and adept Saxophone teacher.
Alexander is a very welcoming and knowledgable teacher. He’s very patient and encouraging too - I’d recommend to anyone wanting to learn the saxophone !
Early 2022 I bought a Saxophone, by the end of 2022 I found a tutor, Alex who has helped me tap into my passion for playing the saxophone. I’m learning skills that I thought would take me a long time to develop, such as learning by ear and reading music. I’m already learning to play Candy by Cameo, which is a family favourite, goal is to play this at upcoming family gathering in 2023.
As a beginner Alex has helped me to find joy in the process of learning and staying motivated and determined to enjoy the music as I learn. It's true that with the right tutor, you are never too old to pursue your passions and learn something new. I have no hesitation in recommending Alex to others who want to connect with music and the beautiful sound of the saxophone.
