• When did you develop an interest in your chosen field and in private tutoring?

  Helping others is at the core of my purpose. Whether it's through providing new information, answering questions, or offering assistance in pronunciation and learning more vocabulary in English, I'm here to support and empower my students in whatever way I can.

• Tell us more about the subject you teach, the topics you like to discuss with students (and possibly those you like a little less).

  Overall, my classes are focused on boosting students' confidence in speaking English not only to enhance their language skills but also to empower them to communicate effectively, engage with diverse cultures, and achieve academic and personal success.
  
  I love my section of deep thinking questioning which involves asking thought-provoking questions that encourage critical thinking, reflection, and deeper exploration.

• Did you have any role models; a teacher that inspired you?

  Throughout my teaching and coaching career, I have had the privilege of encountering a diverse array of mentors whose influence has been profoundly transformative. It is through this amalgamation that I have been shaped into the empathetic individual I am today, driven by an enduring commitment to extend a helping hand to those in need.

• What do you think are the qualities required to be a good tutor?

  I would say it is a combination of being knowledgeable, good at planning (being able to make a fun session but professional beforehand) and flexible to accommodate our students' needs.

• Provide a valuable anecdote related to your subject or your days at school.

  I always loved watching teachers/coaches who loved what they did because it offered me a glimpse into their transformative power of passion, dedication, and purpose. A great learning experience of how to live authentically.

• What were the difficulties or challenges you faced or are still facing in your subject?

  Not enough exposure in the platform and less students once I moved countries- I used to have a good reviewed Superprof account in New Zealand but I had to start from zero in Australia.

• Do you have a particular passion? Is it teaching in general or an element of the subject or something completely different?

  I have an innate desire for connection, purpose, and altruism and I find in teaching the best catalyst for that!

• What makes you a Superprof (besides answering these interview questions)?

  Due to my competitive gymnastics background and my personality type, I cannot imagine any difficulty that any of my students might be facing that I cannot help them to overcome together while having an amazing time.
