About Helga
Dr. Helga Scheibert began her musical training in Romania at age 7.
She has experience performing with orchestras both as a soloist and collaborator. She has performed several solo and chamber recitals in the U.S. and in Europe and had performances broadcast on Romanian National Radio, West Virginia Public Radio. She is the winner of numerous piano auditions and competitions.
She holds a Bachelor in Piano Performance from Gheorghe Dima Music Academy (Romania), Artist Diploma and Masters from Duquesne University, and a Doctorate in Piano Performance from West Virginia University.
Currently she serves as faculty at Carnegie Mellon Preparatory School, also teaches privately.
She enjoys composing, improvising, and experimenting with classical, jazz, folk, and modern music.
Since 2020, she released two albums with her own compositions for piano and keyboard.

-I have more then 15 years experience in teaching.
-All levels and ages are welcome, music is for everyone- I am happy to teach both beginner and advanced levels.
-I like to include a variety of music theory, improvisation and song learning but also flexible on lesson planing depending what student wishes to focus on.
