About Arka
Hi, I am Arka, a studying Artificial Intelligence and Computer Science at the University of Edinburgh. I did Computer Science, Maths, Further Maths, Physics, Computer Science and Economics for A-level.
I have been tutoring for 5 years. The experience has made me a very effective tutor. I raised a Year 11 tutee's grade from C to an A (his final grade) in just four sessions. I also taught computer science to students in year 7 to year 11s after-school at my old school. I covered from the basic of computer science to A-level. So I am really passionate about maths and computer science education, and I like to explore much further than the normal syllabus with my tutees so that they get a deep understanding of a subject.

I am very effective because I like to actively engage the tutee by giving them intriguing problem sets and encouraging discussion about the topic so that I can see how well they can transfer their study material into both oral and written communication. I will structure my sessions with a quiz on last session’s material, then move on to the study material. As we go along, the student will be asked impromptu questions testing their understanding of the material. learned in that session.
