About Ryan
As a Computer Science major, I have been forced into learning on my own for a majority of my classes. While these skills that I learned from that are important, much more basic skills were skipped over originally. Having had some experience in classroom settings with the correct way to do certain projects, I now can say with confidence where I am at skill-wise as well as what is left to learn for me. As an Eagle Scout, I learned leadership at a young age as well as many other critical teaching skills. While working towards my own achievements, I was always encouraged to help those around me. Any way that I can assist the learning process I look forward to doing.

As a tutor, I am great at adapting and changing my thinking on the fly depending on the students' interests and/or challenges in the classroom. I prefer a bottom-up approach to teaching where the basics are reinforced along with good programming etiquette. These lessons are great for beginner-level students interested in learning more about coding! A typical lesson will be spaced out depending on time allowed for each period. Working on your own, while critical for learning to program, is not something that I depend heavily on although I am able to work on some projects for students to get better with in their free time.
