About Stuart
I am an approachable, professional and passionate Computer Science teacher. I have a keen interest in programming and technology. After being a head of faculty, being in charge of a team of teachers, and hundreds of students' exam results, I have returned to my passion of teaching my subject by a mixture of teaching in the classroom, teaching online and offering tutoring services to a range of students. I break down concepts into easy to understand components and explain how key concepts link together. I will ask questions to check understanding and address misconceptions early. My typical tutoring sessions are one hour where we will tackle multiple topics, discuss past paper questions and practise exam techniques. I focus on the high leverage topics where students can gain the most marks in exams. My experience as a secondary school GCSE and A-Level teacher directly feeds into my tutoring, where I catch common misconceptions early to ensure progress is fast. I mainly tutor A-Level Computer Science students, and I can mentor GCSE students and other computing qualifications.
