About NURHANANI IZZATI
Hi everyone! I’m so excited to be your teacher. Let me tell you a little bit about myself. My name is Ms. Hana, and I’m a Design and Computer Science teacher. I’ve always been passionate about creativity, problem-solving, and technology, and teaching allows me to combine all of those things while helping others grow. I studied Software Engineering for my degree, then earned a Master’s in Computer Science, and now I’m pursuing a Postgraduate Diploma in Education to become an even better teacher for all of you. I chose to teach because I believe every student has unique ideas and talents that deserve to be explored. I love seeing that moment when something just clicks, when you suddenly understand a new concept or create something amazing from your own imagination. Those are the moments that make teaching truly meaningful for me. In my class, we’re not just going to learn how to code or design, we’re going to create, experiment, and think like real designers and innovators. I want you to feel confident in your abilities, curious about the world around you, and proud of the projects you build. I’m here to support you, challenge you, and cheer you on. My teaching techniques incorporate:
Inquiry-based learning: I encourage students to think critically and solve problems through guided exploration and real-world scenarios.
Active learning strategies: I use hands-on activities, educational technology, and collaborative group work to keep lessons dynamic and student-centered.
Formative assessment and feedback: I constantly check for understanding and give timely, constructive feedback to help students grow.
My lessons typically run for 60 to 80 minutes, depending on the age group and subject complexity. Each session includes a warm-up, core instruction, an interactive activity, and a short reflection or exit task to consolidate learning.
I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering and a Master’s degree in Computer Science, and I am currently pursuing a Postgraduate Diploma in Education. I have years of experience teaching Design and Computer Science within the International Baccalaureate (IB) Middle Years Programme (MYP), focusing on subjects such as Python, PHP, HTML/CSS, 3D Modeling (Tinkercad), and digital literacy. I also have prior experience as a university teaching assistant, which deepened my understanding of both pedagogy and curriculum development.
My lessons are designed for students aged 11–16 (MYP 1–5). I work with learners of varying proficiencies, including those who are just starting to explore coding and design thinking, as well as those who are building toward more advanced technical skills and project-based assessments.
