About Alyssa
My interest in programming began with curiosity about how software can transform ideas into functional systems. This led me to pursue a B.Sc in Software Engineering, where I gained expertise in coding, software design, and algorithmic thinking. Over 11 years of teaching, I have guided students from initial hesitation to confident coders, helping them understand both the “how” and the “why” behind solutions. I approach teaching with patience, clarity, and adaptability. Many learners struggle because programming is often taught too abstractly or quickly. I focus on breaking problems into manageable steps, using real-life examples and interactive exercises to ensure understanding. I encourage questions and experimentation, fostering a safe and motivating learning environment. Outside of teaching, I stay actively engaged with software development through personal projects, studying emerging technologies, and exploring new frameworks.
