About Tejas
Swimming has been an important part of my life for many years, and I have spent over 16 years competing in the sport, which has helped shape my discipline, work ethic, and understanding of technique. During my competitive journey, I had the opportunity to train under one of the country’s leading coaches, who served as the head coach of the Indian national swimming team for many years, and alongside several high-level athletes, including international medalists and swimmers who have represented India at the Olympic Games and World Championships.
Through these experiences, I developed a deep appreciation for the importance of strong fundamentals, water confidence, and patience while learning. I believe that becoming comfortable in the water is the foundation for learning swimming effectively.
I enjoy helping people learn swimming in a structured and supportive environment. Whether it is children learning for the first time, adults overcoming a fear of water, or athletes looking to improve their swimming for endurance events such as triathlons, my aim is to make the learning process comfortable and rewarding.
My goal is to help each student build confidence in the water and progress at their own pace while enjoying the process of learning to swim. I focus on structured, personalized sessions that adapt to each swimmer’s comfort level, ability, and goals.

I am a Commonwealth Games Gold Medalist and Record Holder in Lifesaving Sports and a National Swimming Medalist, with extensive experience in competitive swimming and aquatic training.
I offer private swimming coaching in Pune for kids and adults, focusing on beginners and intermediate swimmers who want to learn swimming properly, build confidence in the water, and improve their technique.
My approach focuses on water confidence, breathing control, strong fundamentals, and safe habits in the water, ensuring that every swimmer develops comfort and awareness in the water before progressing to more advanced techniques.
In addition to beginner and intermediate coaching, I also train adult athletes who participate in triathlons and endurance events, where swimming is an important component of the overall race. These sessions focus on efficient stroke technique, breathing rhythm, and endurance in the water to help athletes perform better during the swimming segment of such events.
Classes are structured and tailored to each individual’s pace, making them ideal for:
• Children learning to swim for the first time
• Adults who want to overcome fear of water
• Intermediate swimmers who want to refine their technique
• Triathlon and endurance athletes looking to improve their swimming efficiency
My goal is to help students become confident, safe, and capable swimmers while enjoying the learning process. Sessions are personalized based on each swimmer’s level and goals.
Private coaching sessions can be arranged at suitable swimming pools across Pune depending on location and pool availability.
