About Fabrice

To briefly introduce myself, I am a recent college graduate who has aspirations to pursue either a M.F.A in Filmmaking or a M.A in Cinema Studies in the next few years. My desire to complete a degree in either, or possibly both, stems from my passion for storytelling and writing. I worked proudly as an academic tutor and writing specialist for a little over 2 years at Drew University's Center for Academic Excellence (CAE) with the goals of fostering a heightened sense of confidence and pride in my tutees’ work.

The main disciplines I tutored in at the CAE were Film Studies, Economics, and Media & Communications courses. After my first few weeks at the job I soon became a Writing Specialists and offered my skills and command over writing in the English language to students seeking essay help or assistance with any writing assignments. Provided my time as a Writing Specialists I have aided students working in various disciplines including, but not limited to, Sociology, Women & Gender Studies, Business, Anthropology, Political Science, International Relations, History, Art History, English, Biology, Chemistry and many more.

About the class

I classify my pedagogical approach as energetic, friendly, and inclusionary. In each of one of my sessions I positions I forefront student voices in order to create participatory learning environments. In group sessions, I allow students to learn from each other, share their ideas and collaborate when working on assignments. I find students are much more engaged with material when they were provided a space to express their concerns and ideas collectively as opposed to having a single voice, myself, dominate a session.

When providing essay help I discuss with my tutees for a few minutes to understand where their complications reside and we proceed to edit or organize their content together.
