About Melika

I am a Japanese language tutor with over six years of experience teaching Japanese to non-native learners.
I have taught students of different ages and levels, focusing especially on beginners.
As someone who learnt Japanese as a second language, I understand the challenges students face and know how to explain difficult points clearly.
My goal is to help students feel confident and motivated while making steady, real progress.

About the class

My Japanese lessons are designed for complete beginners who want clear, structured explanations without confusion.
I focus on step-by-step learning, using simple English to explain grammar, vocabulary, and sentence patterns.
Because I learnt Japanese myself, I understand common difficulties and know how to explain them clearly.
Lessons are personalised, practical, and focused on real progress from the very first session.

Before Sensei Melika, I thought only native speakers could teach effectively. But she is the complete opposite! Because she went through the entire learning process, she anticipates every confusing spot and explains it with such clear English. I felt comfortable making mistakes, and every single class felt productive. We didn’t just cover the material; we mastered it. I honestly believe Sensei Melika’s ability to teach structure and strategy, especially for beginners, is a level above what you usually find.
