About Gonzalo
Gonzalo Javier López Muñoz (Chile, 1988) “… is an interpreter with a committed and impeccable execution” Jaime Donoso, El Mercurio. Guitar Interpreter, graduated and graduated with highest distinctions under the tutelage of Luis Orlandini at the Faculty of Arts of the University of Chile. As an interpreter, he has offered more than 200 concerts throughout Chile, highlighting his consecutive presentations at the Teatro del Lago (2012-2015) and at the Municipal Theater of Santiago (2014). Currently he has three record productions as a soloist and numerous collaborations in the field of current music (COPIU, LEA and DMUS labels). Winner of the international classical guitar competition "La Falda 2012", he made his debut in the city of Buenos Aires with great success, being later invited to offer different concerts in the city of Córdoba, Argentina. In addition, he has been awarded the FONDAE awards for artistic creativity and FONMUS from the Government of Chile. As a conductor, he is the creator of orchestras; “Student Philharmonic of Santiago” (2016) dependent on the Vicaría de la Esperanza Joven foundation; "Beauchef" (2017) from the University of Chile; and “Camerata del Nuevo Santiago” (2018) of the I. Municipality of Santiago of which it is the owner. He has taken classes with prominent teachers such as Rodolfo Fischer (Chile-Switzerland), Leonid Grin (USA), Francois López-Ferrer (USA), Eduardo Moubarak (Chile) and Íñigo Pirfano (Spain) of whom he was also his assistant in the production “Requiem” - WA Mozart on his last visit to Chile. His most recent activity as a conductor includes attending the debut of maestro López-Ferrer with the USACH Classical Orchestra and having been invited to conduct various concerts in the 2020 season of the Santiago Solístico professional orchestra at the Municipal Theater of Santiago.
