About Shivani
I am Shivani Anal. I have completed M.Tech (ECE) from Kurukshetra University, Haryana and have over 3 year experience in teaching. My expertise includes language proficiency, pedagogical skills, communication skills & adaptability. Outside of teaching, I enjoy hiking and have recently started learning classical guitar. My teaching philosophy revolves around engagement, adaptability, and fostering a love for the English language. I employ a variety of methods to cater to different learning styles. Warm-Up (5-10 Minutes) Objective: Engage students, activate prior knowledge, and create a positive atmosphere. Activities: Quick question-and-answer sessions based on the previous lesson. A short game (e.g., word association or trivia). A thought-provoking question or a short story to spark curiosity. Introduction to the Lesson (5-10 Minutes) Objective: Present the topic or learning goal for the day. Activities: Briefly explain what students will learn and why it’s important. Share an example, video clip, or real-world scenario to connect the topic to their experiences. Main Lesson (30-40 Minutes) Objective: Teach the core content of the class, providing both input and practice opportunities. Structure: Explanation: Introduce the topic (e.g., grammar rules, vocabulary, literary concepts) through clear examples and demonstrations. Guided Practice: Work through exercises as a class, such as analyzing a passage, building sentences, or answering comprehension questions. Interactive Elements: Pair or group work, discussions, or debates to enhance collaboration and communication. Application Activity (10-15 Minutes) Objective: Allow students to independently apply what they’ve learned. Activities: Writing tasks, such as drafting a paragraph, composing an email, or summarizing a story. Role-playing scenarios, such as ordering food at a restaurant, giving directions, or making a formal speech. Speaking practice, including sharing personal opinions, storytelling, or impromptu conversations.
