Engineering studies are logic-based, rather than hypothesis. Students from School and Junior college in India are used to typical hypothetical theories. Hence they fail to perform well in Engineering. I've seen many examples of toppers from their institution unable to cope with engineering just because of spoon-fed coaching to perform well in exams. Whereas in engineering, this theory doesn't work. Logical understanding of concepts is very important here. Hence I believe in teaching students by going to their understanding level. I believe in teaching from the basics rather than Importants, because they originate from the basics.
