About Noa
I am an architecture student at Pratt Institute who is passionate about creating a great experience for my students! I have a lot of experience with math and taking standardized tests, and I want to share everything that I've learned about them. I care deeply about the work I do and am always upfront, communicative, and genuine with my students. I am an HS grad from Northside College Prep (GPA: 3.96, 5.11 weighted) and a current college student (GPA: 3.93). I scored 770 on the SAT Math, 31 on the ACT, and AP Scores of 5 on Calculus BC and Statistics.

I believe strong learning comes from understanding concepts deeply rather than memorizing formulas or shortcuts. As a tutor, my goal is to help students build confidence, think critically, and develop lasting problem-solving skills.
In math, I focus on teaching the concepts so students can approach unfamiliar problems with the tools they need to solve them. For standardized test prep, I believe success is more mental than it is academic. Scores come from learning the right mindset: recognizing patterns, managing time, and staying calm under pressure.
A typical lesson includes reviewing difficult topics and strengthening core concepts, then working through problems interactively and getting specific, like taking timed quizzes or problem sets on one topic. I tailor lessons to each student’s pace and learning style.
What sets me apart is my emphasis on long-term understanding and confidence rather than short-term memorization. My lessons are designed for middle school, high school, and early college students, including SAT and ACT test prep students.
