About Ben
I am a 2000-rated chess player with hands-on experience coaching multiple students ranging from beginners to intermediate level. I specialize in identifying weaknesses in a player’s thinking process and turning them into clear, actionable improvements. My own playing experience helps me teach practical, competitive chess rather than just theory.
I’ve already worked with students to improve their tactics, opening understanding, and overall game awareness, and I focus heavily on helping them avoid common mistakes that hold ratings back. My approach is structured but adaptable, depending on what each student needs most. My goal is to make improvement feel consistent, measurable, and directly transferable to real games.
