My teaching methodology and techniques basically depend on my philosophy of teaching that is 'Every student is unique with their potentials and learning needs'. I believe in the combination of techniques and collaborative method for teaching my students.
I am a K-12 teacher. I teach students of Gr. 3-12. A typical lesson plan of mine looks like:
# Greetings, and some warm up activities
# Give Ss a situation related to today's lesson to assess their
prior knowledge
# Explain, and facilitate students to share ideas, support Ss to
generate more ideas
# Practice time- discussion and asking question is allowed
# Some homework.
I am a facilitator, rather than a teacher. I support my students enhancing their knowledge as a guide and friend. I encourage Ss to solve their learning problems independently which develop their confidence level higher. Overall, Students learn through enjoyment in my class, and that sets me appart as a tutor.
