Hello everyone! My name is Laural and I have a certification in teaching Spanish Education (and thus I am trained in World Language Education) and general subjects for students from kindergarten to 9th grade. I love reading and writing, and am the first to help others with their essays and English homework. If you are learning English, no worries! Hola! My name is Laural and I am a world language teacher. As world language standards have shifted, studies have shown the best way to learn (and retain!) a language is through immersion-like experiences: holding conversations, hearing stories, consistent exposure to the desired language. After all, when little kids are learning a language, they aren't studying verb charts!
My goal for my students, regardless of previous language knowledge, is to be exposed authentically to the language and be comfortable using the language! It breaks my heart when people say they took a foreign language for several years in high school, but remember nothing. Then what was the point? Let's learn, practice, and use English so you feel confident being able to use it outside our "classroom" - that's the goal, isn't it?
