Teaching Method and Techniques My approach to tutoring is rooted in personalized, hands-on learning. I believe that every student has a unique way of absorbing information, so I tailor my lessons to fit their individual needs. For science and other subjects, I emphasize interactive activities and real-world applications to make concepts engaging and memorable. My teaching method involves breaking down complex ideas into simple, digestible steps, using visual aids, experiments, and problem-solving exercises. I also focus on building critical thinking and problem-solving skills, which students can apply across subjects and throughout their academic journey. Typical Lesson Plan A typical lesson begins with a quick review of prior concepts to ensure students understand the foundational material. I introduce the new topic with engaging visuals, examples, or experiments, followed by a guided practice session where students work through problems or questions with my support. After that, we discuss any challenges or areas of confusion. To reinforce learning, I assign practice problems or activities for independent work and provide feedback during the next lesson. I ensure that each lesson is interactive, with opportunities for students to ask questions and participate actively. What Sets Me Apart What sets me apart as a tutor is my diverse experience and passion for creating a supportive, engaging learning environment. I don't just teach content—I foster curiosity and a love for learning. My ability to teach across multiple subjects, from 4th to 12th grade, allows me to help students make connections between disciplines, enhancing their understanding of the material. Additionally, my use of hands-on experiments and real-world applications makes science both fun and meaningful. I’m dedicated to boosting students' confidence, ensuring they feel empowered to solve problems on their own and apply their knowledge in real-world situations. Who the Lessons Are For My virtual tutoring services are available for students from elementary through high school (EC-12), particularly those needing assistance in science (General Science, Earth Science, Physics, Chemistry, Biology) and history. I also work with students preparing for standardized tests like STAAR. Whether you're looking to improve foundational skills, prepare for a test, or gain a deeper understanding of complex topics, I am here to guide you through it. My lessons are ideal for students who need individualized support, those struggling with certain concepts, or anyone who simply wants to enhance their academic performance.
