About Irene
¡Hola! My name is Irene García, I am Spanish and live in the beautiful city of Sevilla. I studied French and English Translation and Interpreting. I understood that I like not only to speak foreign languages, but also to teach my own so I did my Masters in Teaching Spanish as a Foreign Language and then I worked in France, in India, Germany, Russia and Spain with very different students who were looking for very different goals (travel to Spain or South America, take an exam like DELE or at university, learn general Spanish, improve their oral skills, do grammar ...). I have been teaching online for the last 2 years . I love teaching and learning languages because they bring us closer.

I have a vast experience with very different students, schools, books and methods so I know that there are different types of students and I also know how to adapt my classes to what students want and need so they make the most of their time and money. I think it is very important for students to feel comfortable and safe. I like learning about my students′ personal interests so we can use them in the learning process. This way what we do and talk about makes sense and is relevant for them.
I also speak English, French, German and Russian. I can explain in the student′ s mother tongue if necessary although my goal will be to speak Spanish from the very beginning. I follow mainly a communicative approach though the goal pursued by the student is what defines the final design of the class
