About Makenna
My name is Makenna Bolton. I am a dancer, an athlete, and a woman who has struggled for over 10 years with over 4 eating disorders and body dysmorphia. I decided a few years ago to become a certified nutrition coach, I wanted to help people who are wanting to learn how they can eat healthy, gain or lose weight, strengthen their muscles, overcome negative eating habits, or just try to start a slow simple healthy lifestyle. I know firsthand what a negative approach to this can look like, it took a heavy toll over my mental health, my physicality, my relationships, and my beliefs. I never want anyone to go through what I had to in order for me to finally get my health on track. There is no one perfect diet or one way to achieve your goals. Every human being is created differently, and my methods are different for everyone I work with. You will be seen, heard, and treated with patience and kindness, knowing fully, that you are a human being. Messy, chaotic, and beautiful.

I start my first lesson with a few questions and ways to get to know you as a person and what your goals are. After grasping valuable knowledge of what your day to day routine is, your eating habits, and your environment; we then discuss goals. I will develop plans and different exercises, meal plans and certain things for you to implement into your daily schedule that cater toward your needs and your life. We will do progress checks and depending on your goals, we can choose to move up levels or stay consistent, checking in and talking when you feel is good (a few times every week, couple times a month, etc. )
