About Brent
Hello, I am currently the film and digital media arts teacher at Navajo Preparatory IB World School in NM. I am a working industry professional that teaches and continues to do work with a small group of clients and, am now branching out to take on new clients since my summer schedule permits some additional opportunity for larger scale work. I am experienced in all Adobe Software as well as DaVinci Resolve. I am experiences in motion graphics, VFX, and video editing. I have shot, directed, and produced Hundreds of projects and put thousands of hours into my skillsets. I have directed and produced several full-length feature films including “Aurora’s Law” A family drama dealing with mental health in the family starring Steven Michael Quezada (Breaking Bad) and Quinton Aaron (The Blind Side). I have produced, directed, and shot several award-winning short films, nearly 100 commercials, and a dozen music videos, including a behind the scenes video for Bebe Rexha and Florida Georgia Line’s hit song “Meant to Be”. In 2019. I established the Film Four Corners, a not-for-profit organization created with the goal of industry development, education, and training for people in the Four Corners Region.

-I am a hands on, project based, feedback driven instructor. I believe that the fastest way to learn the types of skills I teach is by making things.
-Im my classrooms, I use a balanced combination of lecture, demonstration, hands on learning, and that is what I will bring to your tutoring experience.
For example, if we are covering "intro to Premiere Pro" for an editing project. We will cover the interface, how to import and organize footage, and the basic tools that you would use to get started. This would fall under lecture/demo. Students will follow along with this section. They will then have the opportunity to start a new project using provided footage, and ask any questions along the way. Nest we would cover how to edit footage once it's in the program....
-I can offer services to help anyone wanting to get started in film and digital media, assist with story structure and screen plays, help take your post-production skills up a notch, or anything in between. If you are an IB student taking film, I can also offer direction and guidance for your Internal or ExternalAssessments
