My cello journey began with Oliver over 6 years ago. He has guided me from a 53-year-old novice to working toward my goal of playing Bach’s 1st cello suite. Oliver emphasizes building strong foundational skills and continually strives to improve my technique with intuitive observations and suggestions for tiny changes in hand, arm, or finger positions, which make significant improvements. Oliver’s relaxed teaching style is always underpinned by a striving for excellence. I thoroughly enjoy my lessons and can highly recommend Oliver as a great teacher and mentor.

I am an adult cello student. Oliver has taught me for over two years. He is patient, courteous, and has a great sense of humour. His approach is focused on developing a strong playing technique. He has helped me improve my tone and technique (bowing, fingering, shifting) through working on exercises by Louis Feuillard, Paul Tortelier and AC Piatti.
