About Tommy
Hi! I'm Tommy, a 2025 master's graduate from the University of Cambridge where I studied physics and graduated with a first. At school I achieved 4 A* at A-level (Maths, Further Maths, Physics and Chemistry) and 11 GCSEs at grade 9. I also finished top 50 nationally in the British Physics Olympiad.
I have been tutoring for 4 years and and enjoy it so much. I have improved my students outcomes in exams by 1.5 letter grades on average. I'm friendly, patient, and particularly enjoy seeing students grow in confidence and fulfil their potential.
Outside of academia my interests are golf and running!

I take a flexible approach to lessons and tailor the content to what you need most. I’ll adapt my teaching style to suit how you learn, with a strong emphasis on exam-style practice questions. I always prepare materials in advance so we can use the lesson time efficiently. I’m also happy to answer quick questions if you get stuck between sessions.
The first lesson is free as a chance for us to get to know each other and for you to decide whether I’m the right fit. I’ve recently been through GCSEs and A-levels myself, so I aim to be a useful and relatable presence. Whether you’re looking for a couple of sessions to boost confidence or longer-term support, I hope I can help!
