About Jakub
I became interested in physics at the beginning of middle school. As a high school student, I took part in the (Polish) Physics Olympiad and achieved fifth place. This way, I qualified for the team representing Poland at the International Physics Olympiad.
After finishing high school, I went on to study Natural Sciences at the University of Cambridge. I graduated this year with an MSci (Master of Natural Sciences) and a BA degree. I am currently applying for PhD positions in the theory of condensed matter.
I spent many hours studying physics myself. I know the pains of struggling to understand a difficult concept or solve a tricky problem. Now, I want to use my learning experience to teach others.

I offer physics tutoring for high school and undergraduate students. Whether you want to cover the basics or master the subject, I am happy to help you. I can provide long term tutoring or a few sessions to work through a particular topic. The individual lessons can be one or two hours long, depending on your preferences.
Teaching physics is a bit of a dark art. The first step is explaining and discussing the relevant concepts. I will answer all of your questions to the best of my ability, and we can discuss the material as long as it takes for you to understand it. The key to learning the subject, however, is solving problems. During the lessons, we will work through examples. You will be encouraged to attempt them yourself, and I will provide guidance whenever you need it. I will also set you some homework, mark and discuss it with you.
I aim at a friendly and relaxed atmosphere. I want the session to be a conversation rather than a lecture. Feel free to ask questions and provide feedback on my teaching style at any time.
