About Ikrama Jerin

Warm greetings to everyone! My name is Ikrama, and I’m here to guide you through your learning journey.

My classes are highly interactive and activity-based. From little minds to serious thinkers, I ensure that every student remains actively engaged and feels supported throughout.

A specialised Public Speaking & Creative Writing Expert, with an MA in English, Secondary background in Science and experience as a civil services aspirant, I bring a wide range of topics, ideas and perspectives into my classes. I believe this makes learning a language more engaging—whether we’re exploring Literature, working on Grammar, improving Spoken English or developing Academic English skills.

As a second-language learner myself, I understand the challenges that can come with learning English. My Cambridge CELTA (Level 5) training has further strengthened my ability to plan and deliver effective, learner-centered lessons. I also hold a National Certificate in Soft Skills, which has helped me communicate effectively and adapt to different learning styles and needs.

About the class

English is best learned when you actually use it. That is why I personalise my lessons to make learning practical, relatable, and fun!

My approach is to first understand each student's learning needs. Accordingly, I plan, adapt and deliver my lessons. My classes involve less teacher lecturing and more student activity.
