About Jia Shun
I am currently a final year student at Nanyang Technological University, and I am studying Banking and Finance. I have always had a passion for guiding my peers and people who need my help, especially in subjects that I am most confident in. I have always been quicker at understanding concepts in Mathematics, and have always extended help to my peers or juniors who require help. Why I want to teach is because I want to continue honing my mathematical skills, and also to earn some part-time money while helping to achieve a great cause by helping students who are unable to understand mathematical concepts well get proficient at them.

Patient and responsible, will not scold student or make insensitive remarks. Teaching will follow the pace of student's understanding. Will teach based on student's foundation in mathematics: 1 - weak foundation in mathematics, and hence re-run majority of the syllabus, or 2 - there is some foundation in mathematics, will help to improve on student's weaker topics. I will bring in past year exam papers nearing the student's exam dates, to let the student familiarize and practice with actual exam format. Academic Results for Mathematics: PSLE - A*, GCE O'Levels - Elementary Math: A1, Additional Math: A2, GCE A'Levels - A University Results (as of 2024 January): 4.38 / 5.00 GPA Prior students had managed to improve their grades by at least 4 grades for both Secondary 1 and 2 Mathematics (e.g. jumping from C6 to A2, and from C5 to A1). As a university student with passion for helping, I have constantly been providing academic advice and group study sessions to my peers who were weaker than me in relevant finance-related and math-related modules. I have always been someone who is very quick and adept at understanding mathematical concepts and formulas, hence I will be able to teach the students well.
